Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater Enters Second Year

Nashville’s new waterfront Ascend Amphitheater opened July 30th of 2015 and rounded out the year with a strong set of concerts.  The second year of operation for the venue – its first full concert schedule – is looking even better. The list of performers includes a nice mix or current acts and classic rock bands, plus some interesting collaborations with the Nashville Symphony.

July 27 – Journey with Dave Mason

August 5 – Goo Goo Dolls with Collective Soul and Tribe Society

August 7 – Twenty One Pilots

September 11 – Boyz II Men with the Nashville Symphony

September 19 – Heart with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and Cheap Trick

The amphitheater sits on the shores of the Cumberland River. It’s within easy walking distance of Nashville’s downtown hotels and attractions. The amphitheater’s capacity is 6,800, providing a more intimate concert-going experience than some of the larger venues.
