Take the Ferry from Philadelphia to BB&T Pavilion Concerts
Although the BB&T Pavilion (formerly Susquehanna Bank Center) is located in New Jersey (Camden), it is often considered a Philadelphia venue. It’s located right across the river from downtown Philadelphia and is actually accessible by way of a passenger ferry that runs between Penn’s Landing and the Camden waterfront.

The ferry runs daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and runs on Saturdays and Sundays in May and September. The ferry normally departs hourly, but when there’s a concert at BB&T Pavilion it runs more frequently, around every thirty minutes. The cost to ride the ferry is $7 round-trip. The ferry dock on the Camden side is next to the Adventure Aquarium and a short walk to the BB&T Pavilion. Visit the Riverlink Ferry website for details.
You may experience some lines to get on the ferry, particularly when the concert lets out and everyone is trying to leave at once, but you won’t have to deal with traffic or getting in and out of parking lots.
For the ultimate in convenience, stay in a Philadelphia hotel located close to the Riverlink Ferry dock. The Philadelphia ferry dock is at Penn’s Landing, between the Grand Plaza and the Independence Seaport Museum. The closest hotel is the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing, located right there next to the Seaport Museum. The Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill is just a little further up the street. The Best Western Plus Independence Park Hotel is also nearby.
