Streisand Schedules 9 U.S. Concerts

Barbara Streisand has a very limited concert tour scheduled for August of this year. The concerts will include past hits from her long career, as well as number from her soon to be released new album. The tour includes nine shows in eight cities, with two show at the Barclays Center in her home town of Brooklyn, New York. There’s also a show in Toronto, Canada on August 23, following the US dates.

Ms. Streisand doesn’t tour very often, so these concerts are likely to sell out quickly. The last time she toured was her Back to Brooklyn tour in 2012, and that tour only included six U.S. cities.

Streisand, who’s known both for her singing and acting careers, will team up with Hollywood stars for her next album Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.  This list of stars collaborating on the album is an interesting one – Anne Hathaway, Daisy Ridley, Patrick Wilson, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Melissa McCarthy, Seth MacFarlane, Antonio Banderas, Chris Pine, and Jamie Foxx.
