Gem & Jam Festival Gets New Venue, Adds Camping

Tucson, Arizona’s 11th Annual Gem and Jam Festival moves to a new venue and offers on-site camping for the first time.

Gem & Jam 2017 takes place February 2nd – 5th at the Pima County Fairgrounds, where camping options will include RV camping with hookups, car camping, walk-in camping, and “boutique” camping with “shiftpods” complete with mattress and linens.

If you’re not into camping, there are many hotels near the Gem & Jam Festival’s fairgrounds venue.  A variety of chain hotels are located in the Tuscan Airport area, about 10.5 miles from the festival site. You’ll find most hotel brands there, including Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn, La Quinta, and Best Western Plus.

The 2017 lineup for the Gem & Jam Festival includes Gramatik, Phish bassist Mike Gordon, The Floozies, Lotus, The Trancident, EOTO, G Jones, The Infamous Stringdusters, Steve Kimock & Friends, Opiuo, Poolside, Com Truise, The Motet, Thriftworks, The Russ Liquid Test, and more.
