The New Arroyo Seco Music Festival in Pasadena

There’s a new music festival coming to Pasadena June 24th and 25th, 2017. The new Arroyo Seco Weekend is a two-day event to be held at the Brookside Golf Club, just north of the Rose Bowl. The event is presented by Goldenvoice, the same folks who put on Coachella.

Check out our map of 50 hotels less than 8 miles away from the festival site.

The performer line-up is a mix of genres, with an emphasis on a folksy, soul sound with a good dose of jazz.

Here’s the line-up for Saturday:

  • Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Alabama Shakes, The Meters, Dawes, Live, Broken Social Scene, Charles Bradley & The Extraordinaires, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, Roy Ayers, William Bell, John Mayall, The Bennie Maupin Ensemble

And Sunday:

  • Mumford & Sons, Weezer, The Shins, Fitz & the Tantrums, Andrew Bird, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Galactic, The Revivalists, Andy Grammar, ZZ Ward, Lettuce, Jamtown (ft.. G. Love, Donavon Frankenreiter & Cisco Adler), Alice Smith, The Mowgli’s, David Lindley, Con Brio, NK Band

Arroyo Seco bills itself as a family-friendly event, and the Kidspace Children’s Museum of Pasadena will be coordinating activities for kids.  Food and beverages will be provided by a host of regional eateries such as Barrel & Ashes, Broken Spanish, Dog Haus, Fat Dragon, Fritzi Co Op, Locol, Nomad, Ramen Hood, Red Bird, Republique, Rose Cafe, Sotto, Sumo Dog, Sweetfin Poke, Tikifish, Union, and Wolf.

There’s no camping at this festival, so you’ll need to find a place to stay.  Fortunately, there are many hotels in nearby Pasadena.
