Huntsville, Alabama’s New Orion Amphitheater

Huntsville, Alabama has a new outdoor music venue! The Orion Amphitheater has capacity for 8,000 and is expected to be used year-round for concerts and community events. The venue is located in the MidCity District and is part of a larger redevelopment project that will include the construction of a new city recreation area to be called Apollo Park.

Orion Amphitheater opened in May of this year with a special “The First Waltz” event that included performances by Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Drive-By Truckers, Mavis Staples, and more. Concerts scheduled for the remainder of 2022 include Kenny Chesney, Widespread Panic, The Black Crowes, Josh Groban, Jack White, Styx/REO Speedwagon/Loverboy, My Morning Jacket, and Luke Bryan.
