Los Angeles Arena Events

At first glance it would appear that Los Angeles suffers from having too many arenas but they all seem to keep busy. In addition to the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center) on the south side of the downtown, you’ll find Intuit Dome, Kia Forum and SoFi Stadium all congregated in Inglewood about 8 miles southwest of downtown.

Crypto.com Arena Events and Hotels

Known for a long time as Staples Center, the Crypto.com Arena is part of the LA Live complex located adjacent to the city’s convention center. Probably best known as the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, the primary sports tenant this summer are the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. (Caitlin Clark fans can see her Indiana Fever in LA on August 5th and August 29th.)

Upcoming appearances by musicians include Wu-Tang Clan later this month, Laufey and Ice Cube in September plus six nights of Sabrina Carpenter in November.

Upcoming Intuit Dome Events

The Intuit Dome is the latest addition to the entertainment mega-complex in Inglewood, about eight miles from downtown. During the NBA season it’s the home of the Los Angeles Clippers. The arena’s shiny newness makes it a popular spot for touring musicians, with a wide variety of acts coming to town in 2025 including Jorge Medina, Dierks Bentley, Lil Baby, Keith Urban, Linkin Park, Incubus and Eric Church.

Kia Forum

Originally called the LA Forum, the Kia Forum was one of the first sports and entertainment facilities to be located in Inglewood (along the now-departed Hollywood Park race track). Before the Staples Center was built it was the home of the LA Lakers and NHL’s LA Kings.

The Kia Forum may have opened way back in 1967 but it’ll be hosting some really big names in 2025, including Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Grace Abrams and The Lumineers. Plus a big bunch of older favorites: Dave Matthews Band, Toto, Christopher Cross, Men At Work, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Billy Idol, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, Bryan Adams and Weird Al Yankovic.

SoFi Stadium

They call it a stadium but when the roof is closed it’s essentially a really big arena: SoFi Stadium is the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. Throughout the year it’s also the spot to see the biggest of the big names in entertainment, those folks who can sell enough tickets to fill a 70,000 seat stadium. The Weeknd, Blackpink, and Chris Brown are on the schedule for later this year.

In addition to the 2025-2026 NFL season, SoFi Stadium will play a large part in the world’s biggest single-sport event when the soccer playing countries of the world gather for the 2026 World Cup is hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico.
