CMT Country Music Awards Moves to Austin for 2023

The CMT Country Music Awards, traditionally held in Nashville, Tennessee has announced they’re moving to Austin, Texas in 2023. There’s no word on if the move is permanent. The awards show will be held April 2 at the the Moody Center and will be broadcasted live on CBS.

The 2023 CMA Fest, which will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year, will still be held in Nashville. That event, which features four days of free and ticketed concerts, plus meet-and-greets and other fan experiences takes place June 8 – 11, 2023. The ticketed concerts are held at Nissan Stadium and Ascend Amphitheater, and additional events are held at outdoor stages and other venues around downtown Nashville.
