South Carolina’s New & Renovated Music Venues

south carolinaThe options for South Carolina concert-goers just keep getting better! The Florence Civic Center recently announced the opening of the all-new Uptown Ballroom at the civic center facility. The flexible venue can host a variety of events including concerts of various sizes and theater. The Drive-By Truckers opened the renovated space on January 29th. Delbert McClinton is scheduled to perform there on February 6th.

The Music Farm Columbia is a general admission, standing room only venue opened in fall of 2014 and is now hosting a full schedule of concerts. Upcoming concerts include Brett Eldridge, Yonder Mountain String Band, SOJA, The Blue Dogs, Corey Smith, Tribal Seeds, and Blackberry Smoke. The Music Farm Columbia is located in Columbia on Senate Street, near the South Carolina State House and the University of South Carolina campus.

Township Auditorium, also in Columbia, is a classic venue listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This concert space was fully renovated in 2011 and gets good reviews from concert-goers. Upcoming concerts include The Avett Brothers (for three nights!), John Mellencamp, and Widespread Panic. The Auditorium is located in downtown Columbia, on Taylor Street.
