Nashville’s New Ascend Amphitheater Opens July 30th with Eric Church Concert
The first concert at Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater will be Eric Church on July 30th, 2015. There’s a full line-up of first-rate acts scheduled to follow throughout the rest of the season, including Chicago, Phish, Steely Dan, Smashing Pumpkins, and Widespread Panic.
The amphitheater is located in the city’s new West Waterfront Park. The park sits on the banks of the Cumberland River. See location on a Google Maps. The stage is set up so there will be a great view of Nashville’s city skyline in the background. Capacity is 6,800. The Ascend name comes from the venue’s sponsor, Ascend Federal Credit Union.
The downtown location gives concert-goers lots of options for dining and places to stay.
