2015 Concerts at Ohio Stadium

Ohio State University’s Ohio Stadium is all abut Buckeyes football, and now, concerts too. This weekend brings the huge Rolling Stones concert to the Columbus Ohio stadium. It’s the first concert there since Metallica did ashow in the stadium in 2003. But the Rolling Stones concert isn’t the only music event scheduled for 2015.

It takes a big show to even put a dent in the stadium’s 60,000 seat capacity, and big is what they have lined-up for 2015. In addition to the Stones concert in May, the stadium will be the site of the two-day Buckeye Country Superfest in June (featuring Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, and Rascal Flatts). And in August, One Direction comes to Columbus to play at Ohio Stadium.

These are all big draws that will bring lots of people to the area for the concerts, which should be beneficial to the local economy and help the university generate some revenue from their stadium, which otherwise only gets used a few times a year.
