The recently announced eight-stop summer concert tour pairing Hank Williams Jr. with Chris Stapleton just might end up being one of the hottest concert events of the summer. Hank Williams, Jr just released a new album, It’s About Time. This one’s his first with his new label, Nash Icon. Fans will likely hear songs from the new album on the tour as well as favorites from Williams’ impressive collection of hits. Williams has been a popular live act for years, regularly packing venues across the country.

Although Stapleton recently won the 2015 CMA Award for New Artist of the year (and album of the year, male vocalist of the year, and breakout artist of the year), he’s been making his way in country music for a while now. He’s an established songwriter with six number one songs recorded by other artists. He was the lead singer for The Steeldrivers bluegrass band and a southern rock band called The Jompson Brothers. Now his solo work (he released his first solo album, Traveller, in 2015) is winning him critical acclaim and a quickly growing fan base.
