The New Dega Jam at Talladega Speedway
There’s a new county music festival coming to Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway this summer.The new Dega Jam happens July 1 – 3 at Talladega Speedway in Lincoln, Alabama. The event takes place on the infield area of the famous car racing track. The festival is a three-day event with three stages of live music. Camping is available on the infield, where you’ll be staying close to the action.
Performers scheduled for the 2016 event include Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Kid Rock, Hank Williams, Jr., Billy Currington, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lee Brice, Martina McBride, Gary Allan, Kip Moore, Tyler Farr, Chase Rice, Chris Janson, Dwight Yoakam, Frankie Ballard, Jamey Johnson, Easton Corbin, Jerrod Niemann, Sara Evans, The Time Jumpers featuring Vince Gill, Kenny Sears, and Ranger Doug Green, Montgomery Gentry, Marty Stuart, Eli Young Band, Colt Ford, Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Clare Dunn, John Anderson, Kristian Bush, The Cadillac Three, Aaron Lewis, Pat Green, Josh Thompson, RaeLynn, Mac Powell, Rodney Atkins, Cassadee Pope, Shooter Jennings The Swon Brothers, Mo Pitney, Frank Foster, Whiskey Myers, and Ruthie Collins.
Dega Jam Hotels – If camping’s not your thing, there are hotels nearby. Most are located either in Pell City (approx. 9 miles from the speedway) or Oxford (approx. 14 miles from the speedway), where you’ll find national chains such as Holiday Inn Express, Comport Inn, Super 8, and Motel 6, plus some smaller independent hotels.
