Carolina Rebellion

Carolina Rebellion is a hard rock/heavy metal music festival held at Rock City Campground (appropriate name, huh?) adjacent to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The 2017 dates are May 5 – 7.

This event started out in 2011 as a one day fest held in Charlotte. The next year it moved to Rockingham Speedway. In 2013 the racetrack theme was continued with the move to the campground adjacent to Charlotte Motor Speedway and the event was extended to two days. For 2016, the event expanded to three days of entertainment and will continue with the three-day format in 2017.

There are multiple stages of music each day and the 2017 line-up includes the Soundgarden, Def Leppard, Avenged Sevenfold, A Perfect Circle, Korn, The Offspring, VolBeat, The Cult, Mastodon, Paparoach, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Alter Bridge, Seether, Tesla, Pierce the Veil, The Pretty Reckless, Coheed and Cambria, Highly Suspect, EDM, Skillet, Taking Back Sunday, Sum 41, and more. Tickets are available for single day general admission 2-day general admission, and weekend general admission. The prices go up the to closer you get to the festival date. Ticket details.

There are camping packages and hotel packages available through the festival’s website or you can make arrangements on your own to stay at one of the hotels in the area.
