New Year’s Eve in Nashville
Nashville, Tennessee is a great place for music lovers any time of the year. It’s no surprise that it’s also a fun place to be on New Year’s Eve. Folks who find themselves in Nashville on December 31, 2016 will have some great entertainment options.
The city’s big free New Year’s Celebration takes place at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and includes performances by Keith Urban, Styx, A Thousand Horses, Moon Taxi, Charlie Worsham, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers. Music starts at 6:15 p.m. and the new year is celebrated with a “music note drop,” confetti and fireworks at midnight.
A special New Year’s Eve show at the Grand Ole Opry House features John Prine, Jason Isbell, and Kacey Musgraves.
At the Ryman, Old Crow Medicine Show is back for their annual New Year’s Eve concert. Bluegrass band The Grascals are playing New Year’s Eve at the iconic Station Inn. And Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives have 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. shows scheduled for New Year’s Eve at City Winery.
If country music’s not your thing, jam band Wide Spread Panic is performing at the Bridgestone Arena, Cherub is at Marathon Music Works, and The Protomen have the New Year’s show at Exit/In.
