The Sound: New Del Mar Fairgrounds Venue to Host Ziggy Marley, Big Gigantic, Flaming Lips, Jason Mraz

The Sound concert venue located at Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California is set to open in early February with two shows by Ziggy Marley (February 3 &4). Other performers lined up for the venue include Big Gigantic (February 25), The Flaming Lips (March 6), and Jason Mraz (March 18). Hotels near The Sound at Del Mar.

The new all-ages venue has a capacity for 1,900 for general admission concerts, providing a new mid-size space for the San Diego area. The state-of-the-art performance space is located in the Del Mar Fairground’s Surfside Center.

The venue will be operated by Belly Up Entertainment, which manages the bookings for Belly Up in nearby Solana Beach, CA.
