“Formerly known as …”

It’s hard to keep up with the names of stadiums, arenas, and concert venues these days!  Corporate sponsorship can be a financial benefit for the venue, but the changing names are confusing for the rest of us.

NRG Arena in Houston (formerly Reliant Arena) is one of the most recent changes.  Although some stadiums, such as the Louisiana Superdome, now Mercedes-Benz Superdome have new names, we’ll bet locals continue to use the names they’ve always known.

Here at The Concert Nexus, you’ll see a “Formerly …” notation in the title of many of the listings for venues that have had recent name changes. This will help you know you’ve got the right place.
