What’s a “Rocksino”?
A “Rocksino” is what you get when the Hard Rock Cafe folks take over a racino. We’re not making these words up. Somebody else did, though. A “racino” is a combined race track and casino, like Northfield Park. The Hard Rock folks added a live music venue with a 2,600 person capacity and Northfield Park is now “Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park.”
Interesting fact: Northfield Park racetrack was originally constructed by Al Capone in 1934 and was known as Sportsman Park.
