New Outdoor Venue Coming to Roanoke Virginia

The opportunities to attend outdoor music events in Roanoke Virginia just keep getting better.  First a new amphitheater facility opened in the city’s Elmwood Park and enjoyed a full 2014 season of concerts, including an appearance by Sheryl Crow.  Now another outdoor venue, not far from the Elmwood Park Amphitheater has been announced.

The new venue is an undertaking of Sponsor Hounds, which manages several Roanoke area festivals. According to an article in the Roanoke Times, a 2.3 acre site at The Bridges has been leased by the company for the new venue.  The site is next to the Trolley Barn off Walnut Avenue.

The facility is expected to be in operation by next summer.
